How should I bath my baby in winter??
1. Prepare a warm environment: Ensure the room is warm and free of drafts. Gather all essentials (towel, mild baby soap, warm water, and clean clothes) beforehand.
2. Use lukewarm water: Fill a baby bathtub with water at a comfortable temperature (around 98°F/37°C). Test it with your wrist or elbow.
3. Quick and gentle bath: Keep the bath short (5-10 minutes) and focus on areas like the face, neck, diaper area, and folds of the skin.
4. Dry and dress immediately: Gently pat the baby dry with a soft towel, paying attention to creases. Dress the baby in warm, cozy clothes right after.
5. Limit full baths: During winter, bathe your newborn 2-3 times a week to prevent dry skin. Use sponge baths in between, if necessary.
